Seventeen-year-old Peridot has never done what anyone expected. Her family says she spends far too much time on the mountain, watching the dragons and taming the wolves. She neglects her lessons and hasn’t learned to use magic like a proper young sprite.
None of that matters to her, until her brother goes missing. Now, she’s caught in a desperate game of cat and mouse with an unknown enemy. Without the magic lessons she skipped, she has little hope of saving her brother and escaping the mountain with her life.
